Abstract
The incorporation of technology into teacher education has emerged as a vital avenue for realizing the objectives of Quality Education (SDG 4) and promoting inclusive, equitable, and lifelong learning opportunities for everyone. This paper examines the ways in which technology-facilitated inclusive pedagogies can revolutionize the field of teacher preparation and professional development. It highlights the significant importance of digital tools, open educational resources, and learning management systems in enhancing accessibility, engagement, and tailored learning experiences for a variety of learners.
Grounded in the framework of constructivism and universal design for learning (UDL), the study discusses how teacher education programs can incorporate ICT-based strategies to cultivate inclusive classroom practices. 1. INTRODUCTION
Education stands as the cornerstone of sustainable human development and society. In the 21st century, the emergence of technology has profoundly transformed every aspect of teaching and learning, redefining how knowledge is created, accessed, and shared. As nations strive to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all there is a growing realization that the integration of technology in teacher education is not merely an innovation, but a necessity. Teachers, as the agents of educational transformation, must be empowered with digital competencies, inclusive values, and pedagogical adaptability to effectively respond to the diverse learning needs of students in a technologically dynamic world.
In the realm of teacher education, there has been a significant transition from teacher-centered methodologies to learner-centered, technology-enhanced pedagogies that encourage critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and inclusivity. Traditional lecture-based models are increasingly being replaced or supplemented by digital learning platforms, blended learning environments, and interactive online tools that foster engagement and personalized learning.
