This book deals with the issues of education and health of women in India. In fact, education and health are considered crucial for women?s development. It is generally held that education of women goes a long way for their equality and to improve their status . Education also helps in getting employment which is very conducive for economic equality. However, it is alleged that education is only a superficial index of women?s status. Contributors to this volume have tried to analyse the role of education in women?s development. Similarly, the health status, health ignorance and various health problems are also analysed.
