This book is Agricultural Universities? syllabus based. It has been divided into 4 units and 7 chapters. UNIT ? I includes chapters on (i) Extension Systems in India, (ii) Some Features of the Extension Systems in Other Countries and (iii) Community Development Programmes. UNIT ? II includes one chapter on Extension Approaches to Rural Development. UNIT ? III includes chapters on (i) Role of SAU in Rural Development and (ii) Review of Five Year Plans in India. UNIT ? IV includes one chapter on Comparative Extension Systems of Selected Developed and Developing Countries. In the end bibliography has been provided.
