?A Treatise on the History of Education? is an attempt to put all aspects of education at one place. The book presents the entire matter in an Indian perspective commencing a chapter dedicated to understanding the psychology of education. This is followed by a chapter on various learning processes, education in India across various periods, theories of education, and finally culminates with a detailed discussion on the new policy announced by the government. We have also dedicated a chapter where the views of prominent Indian educators have been discussed. Among the other chapters that form a part of this book include development of education in India across the ages, laws governing education, scientific and technical education. We have attempted to discuss in great details topics that are relevant in today?s context.
