Intellectual Property (IP) is the fuel that powers the engine of prosperity, fostering invention and innovation. The increasing significance of intangible assets in the global economy is forcing business organizations to actively manage their IP as a key driver for gaining and maintaining a competitive edge and generating superior results.

The importance of Intellectual Property was first recognized in the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property (1883) and the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works (1886). Although India has made a number of changes in its IPR regime to increase efficiency and has also gained a hike in the Global Innovation Index ranking, still it needs to go a long way in improving its IPR regime on a global scale. The various global aspects dealing with Intellectual Property are planned and published in this book.
